Are you a childcare professional? I’ve put together a VERY practical guide for you!
March 17, 2021 saw the publication of the new (revised and expanded) edition of my « Guide TRÈS pratique pour les pros de la petite enfance »(Dunod). A guide for all professionals in the field (EJEs, nursery assistants, childcare assistants…) to help them live their daily lives better!
Click here to discover the SUMMARY and here to read the review by Catherine LELIEVRE, founder of the website Les pros de la petite enfance!
I put my heart and brain into writing this guide.
What’s on the menu? A quiz to test and deepen your knowledge of the young child, a set of practical information sheets to help you deal with a wide range of situations. And, to take things a step further debates to fuel and extend your reflections on children and institutions.
What was my objective? To create a guide that was practical, concrete, complete, accessible to all, funny, human, caring, pleasant to read and useful in real life. A mix of theory and practical tips for all those adults who work – day after day – with little humans.
How did my guide come about? This his guide, with a preface by Catherine GUEGUEN and proofread by Josette SERRES, is the fruit of a long and painstaking process that began six years ago in the field, in collective and family crèches and RAMs. It is the result of hundreds of hours of child observation, conversations with professionals and parents, research and reflection.
Liliaimelenougat’ s humorous and sensitive illustrations are the real added value of this guide!
The adventure of this guide began on the Pros de la petite enfance website, where some of its chapters had already been published. Then, faced with the success of these texts, Catherine LELIEVRE and I came up with the idea of devoting an entire book to it, including previously unpublished chapters.
What about my theoretical orientation? With a scientific background, I’ve fed this guide with findings from research in neuroscience, developmental psychology, cognitive, social and experimental psychology, as well as attachment theory, ethology (which studies animal behavior) and anthropology (I’ve always thought that taking a look at other cultures is always very instructive!). My aim is to bridge the gap between scientific research and the field.
Who is this guide for? While it is primarily aimed at early childhood professionals (EJEs, nursery assistants, nurses, APs, CAPs…), it will also satisfy the needs of parents, who are nonetheless « everyday professionals ».
It will also equip psychologists, psychomotor therapists and doctors in their day-to-day work with professionals and families, and journalists in the writing of their articles.
Thank you for your interest! Thanks to you, my guide has gathered over 12,000 readers since its first edition… You’re wonderful 😉
